Saturday, 31 Oct 2015

No Text A live online question and answer session with Kabie Brook will be taking place on Tuesday the 3rd of November 2015 from 12.30-1.30pm.

Kabie Brook is an Autistic activist and campaigner. Co-founder and current chairperson of ARGH (Autism Rights Group Highland), Kabie is also a member of the National Autism Strategy Governance Group (Scotland), and is a Community Advisor for Police Scotland.

Kabie is passionate about educating people to understand the communication styles and self advocacy attempts that can often be ignored or labelled as 'challenging', and believes that it is the Autistic community and those who use services that should be given the power to take control, and steer what is currently an inadequate system of 'existence' rather than 'living' for far too many people.

Kabie will be speaking at the upcoming conference Looking Forward, Looking Back: The Janus View of Autism, focusing on how we, as Autistic people and allies, can promote 'Autistic' as a positive and equal identity.
