Northwich Exhibition Celebrates Autism Through Art

​Cheshire Autism Practical Support (ChAPS)  is marking World Autism Awareness Day with an exhibition titled 'Awakenings' - A celebration of autism through art.

The exhibition takes place from March 30th- April 1st, with a launch at 4.30pm on 30th March at ChAPS training centre, Room G6, Northwich Business Centre, Meadow Street, Northwich, CW9 5BF.

 The work shown will celebrate the capabilities of children on the spectrum through drawings, paintings, model and sculpture. Members of ChAPS from Northwich, Winsford, Runcorn, Widnes, Ellesmere Port will be taking part. 

ChAPS is a charity that's been running for almost seven years, working hard to provide support for families in Cheshire, who have a dependent on the autism spectrum. The practical support and advice and has become a vital lifeline for many families within Cheshire. The charity provides activities for children, allowing them to experience a range of activities, be themselves without being judged, as often they may not be able to join ‘neuro-typical’ activities because of their difficulties.

For the reception, ChAPS will be joined by Cllr Kevin Rimmer, Mayor of Northwich and hopefully Graham Evans MP for Weaver Vale. community@cheshireautism.org
