Issue 22: Winter 2014

We kick off the New Year in 2014 with the announcement that AuKids has gone up to 16 pages. With it is our freedom to stretch out, which means that reviews now luxuriate over a double page, and we have a new Readers’ Page so that we can do justice to all the photographs and letters we’re receiving.

The big hit of the issue was the feature Make ‘Em Laugh, where we focus on all the ways that laughter and mucking about can help the development of a child with autism. Sometimes we parents tell ourselves that intervention has got to feel like hard work in order to do some good. This ain’t necessarily so! We also introduce our new readers’ panel, some keen bookworms who review all those extra titles for us.
